Here at Suitably Southern, we consider ourselves music enthusiast.  Our passion for music is at it’s peak when it comes to Country Music.  Country music has becoming many things over the years, developing many sub groups within the genre, and most (not all) new artists subsequently fall into a mold and are branded as a certain type of “act.”  Craig Campbell, a Georgia native, achieved high praise in the Country Music circles with his self-titled debut album and separated himself from today’s norm.  He’s a throw back to traditional country music and possesses a golden voice.  Campbell released chart-climbers “Family Man,” “Fish” and “When I Get.”  Recently, we here at Suitably Southern had the opportunity to speak with Country Music Artist, Craig Campbell, regarding his upcoming album Never Regret out May 7th.  Read on to check out the full interview & audio link to hear this “Family Man’s” take on his sophomore release!

In The Spotlight: Craig Campbell

Up Close and Personal with GA Boy Craig Campbell!

There are numerous varieties of country music that’s out on the scene these days. Some artists are considered to be more traditional than others, and many teeter on the verge or are pop crossovers. Many country music fans are looking for a new age artist to latch on to that represents the traditional golden era of country music radio. Enter Craig Campbell….The voice is straight-forward and powerful. The songs are down-to-earth portraits of real people from the American heartland. The sound is traditional, unapologetic country. Craig Campbell is a proud reminder of one of country’s strongest creative periods, building on the early-‘90s legacy established by some of the genre’s most successful figures: Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black and Travis Tritt.

For those of you who have yet to experience any of Campbell’s music, we strongly urge you to check out his self-titled debut album. Campbell co-wrote the collection of 11 songs that include the hit singles “Family Man,” “Fish” and “When I Get It.”

Campbell was gracious enough to take some time out of his busy schedule to speak with us here at Suitably Southern and we’re happy to share with you a summary of our exchange with the Country Star…

Justin Moore's "Outlaws Like Me" is Out!

Justin Moore is powerful newcomer to Country Music.  Newcomer isn't really a true depiction of this artist and what he's accomplished.  Moore burst onto the scene with his debut album and in my personal opinion he's progressed and bettered that effort with his Sophomore performance.  Check out our summary of Moore's "Outlaws Like Me."  If you're a J Moore fan, I highly suggest you get your copy immediately if you haven't already beaten us to the punch.

Love Your Hair.....It's With You Forever

A few months ago while reading a magazine, and an article about hair, I came about a revelation and realized how important my hair is!  After all, I obsess over it day after day, hour after hour!  The article read something like, "take care of your hair...... as you live with it 24/7 and it's the perfect accessory!"  I had never thought of it that way.  Yeah, I had been to the salon (Bob Steele - Best in ATL!) and always bought the pricey shampoo, but other than that, my hair was neglected!

(Image via Google 2011 / howigit.com)

In a not so surprising twist the NFL Coaches have filed a motion and sided with the NFLPA.  Can't say I disagree with them.  At the end of the day, I'm glad something is happening to force the issue to do something and hopefully move along.  Check out SI's recap below....

Are Hybrid Boats the Future?

(Image Google 2011/ slayshtank.com)

With the increasing demand for alternative energy resources, Hybrid technology is becoming more of a mainstay in our society.  Almost always associated with cars, other vehicles aren't far behind.  Hybrid boats have been in production for years now and the majority of manufacturers are not starting to pay attention.  The future could be very different for the next generation of boating and boat owners.  I never really thought I'd see the day that a performance boat would be close to mirroring the traditional competition ski and wakeboard boats and work solely off of an alternative energy system......
